What do you think about the election results? Satisfied? Have some pointers for the newbies? For those retaining their positions? What do you think about the levies that passed? What about the one that didn't? Post your thoughts here.

It was disappointing to see so many unopposed candidates. Between the school boards and especially the College Board, we will have many more years of the mundane.

i found the results to be very interesting. the anti everything people don't appear to have the strangle hold that they thought they had.
sadly, with 8,000+ voting not a single port commissioner race garnered all 8,000 votes between all the candidates running for that seat!
does that mean people are complacent with who is already there, so why bother to vote? or does it mean no one worth voting for was on the ballot?

Could it be the "Anti-Everything People" are content to let "the Port" destroy itself by assuring the incumbents stay in-place? It appears it won't be that reality is not that far off.

Easy enough to "say" when you lose. No way to prove different. Could it be the "Anti-Everything People" are content to let "the Port" destroy itself by assuring the incumbents stay in-place? I don't see the Port destroying itself anytime soon - with the exception of one member (I like to call her Whiney), the Port Commission is comprised of very respected and intelligent people. I think they're going to do just fine
