Ok so this is proof that Caplan, and her group are out to destroy our community....tre arrow is supported by these people....our loggers cannot afford to lose equipment when these radicals come to town...this is really scary. They teach people how to destroy and burn and avoid prosecution.

Anybody who thinks this is not serious is an idiot, people have died from what some of these people do. are they the ones who sabotage people's equipment, spike trees, burn subdivisions, etc.? |

This group is the one who claimed responsibility for burning the suv's at a eugene car dealership a while back, loggers in CA have died from the spiked tree trick....their motto is do not negotiate with the enemy. Guess we better figure out who the enemy is, probably not hard to guess, given Cheryl, Ted, and Laurie have invited them to town. They are busy this week doing a phone poll on recalling all the commissioners because they have allegedly violated the will of the people. Promoting eco terror is a noble pursuit, wonder if they ever sleep, another question would be how can they sleep after what they've done this time.

Appears like only 15 people that had anything to do with the hate lngers showed up at the BOCC meeting and when the Port had their meeting that video showed there were only about 25 people there! Doesn't appear that the "will" of the people is anything more than a few fanatics whipping up the crowd and the crowd is tired of being whipped up on their lies! Now they have to bring in the fanatics to get people really whipped up! Sure hope the logging community shows up along with the union guys and the pro LNG pro Growth, lets stand shoulder to shoulder at the Blue Scorcher, show these punks who they are up against. We aren't talking corporations here, we are talking about family wage earners who don't have the luxury to pedal around the usa throwing tantrums because life isn't going the way we want it to. I am really fed up with these people and it really PISSES me off that one of them is my kids librarian, living off MY tax dollars and acting as if she were better than me with her holier than thou attitude. These people TALK respect, but they don't live it. They are hypocrites with double standards. They have pushed too far. |

It wasn't such a big deal....a few kids "putting on a show" type event--maybe 20 some odd people in the "audience"....The principals had a little rehearsed dialog..kind of a rah rah type thing extolling the virtues of who they are and what they do...basically the "we are against everything because we are saving the world from anyone we dont like"....they spouted "facts" and slogans...there was a lone heckler right out of the gate and his harranguing and questioning the "facts" threw the players off balance and some of the audience begged the heckler to cease but he didn't...members of the traveling troupe tried to get him to quiet down but he didnt for them, either. You people are ridiculous:
1. Earth First was invited to Astoria by local youth who wanted to hear about radical environmentalism, not by any main stream group or by any of the liberal middle aged folks you listed. The LNG movement was invited to the event, NOT the other way around.
2. A few kids come into town and talk about the environment and y'all flip out like the end of the world is here. What are you so afraid of? They talk about community, nature, hunting and fishing, protecting our land, and keeping the federal government and LNG companies from texas from destroying rural oregon. Are you afraid they might actually get somewhere, with this common sense talk? I thought conservatives cared about the places they lived in! I thought conservatives stood up and told the feds to butt out of their business and keep government small! I guess the conservative movement has been hijacked by big government, pro-business, socialists!
3. No one has ever died from an Earth First action. No EF action has hurt humans, period. Would you like to provide some evidence for these completely baseless accusations? Earth first practices civil rights style nonviolent civil disobedience but I would imagine that 50 years ago all you people moaning so much about this would have opposed rights for blacks as well.
4. Earth First does not advocate property destruction or burning buildings. You should research the Earth Liberation Front, as they do actually promote those things you are so afraid of. Maybe you should go disrupt their puppet shows?
5. No one really cared about the heckler, he came to be loud and disrupt community. We are used to this kind of behavior, he was ignored, he made a fool of himself, then he left (probably to go drink more). The slideshow and puppets continued regardless. Puppets, so scary!
